The University of Iowa Center for Advancement
Design and Video
de Novo worked in conjunction with the University of Iowa Foundation on their Giver’s Magazine and its accompanying website. The goal was to thank the givers, highlight specific donors and tell their stories. Featured donors explained why they give and the impact their giving has made.
de Novo designed the publications and provided editing for the photography, with the goal being to tell these stories in an impactful way that was also visually appealing.
2016 President’s Club Video
de Novo produced a video for the President’s Club at the University of Iowa. The purpose in creating this video was to educate donors on the good their contributions do at the university level and beyond. Since this video is quite long, we kept viewers’ attention by using perpetual motion animation, which energized the video and kept it interesting.
de Novo produced an animated video for the University of Iowa’s Athletic Department to inform the public about funding and other complex issues they face, and to inspire viewers to give to I-Club. By working closely with the University of Iowa Foundation and the Athletic Department, our team was able to produce a video that was interesting, accurate and easy to understand.
From Dream to Reality
The University of Iowa Center for Advancement wanted a special piece to give to donors who gave for the new UIHC Stead Family Children’s Hospital, in show of appreciation for their support. de Novo worked to create a piece fitting for a coffee table or display, titling it “From Dream to Reality.” The book displayed different spreads showing the building process from the planning stage all the way to the finished product. There were also three pop-up sections demonstrating parts of the process. To personalize each book to the specific donor, every copy was customized with pictures relating to what the individual donor’s money went towards.
