Who is de Novo?
Laura:
A graduate of Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI, Laura started working on execution and production of special events during college. Through living in Manhattan, and eventually landing in Chicago for the last 8 years, Laura has created a diverse background in the events industry working with small, non- profit clients to large-scale world- wide events. Her career spans from venue side to sales and interior design for events, to logistics, rounding out the last 10 years with new adventure at de Novo- “event planning and account management” (or whatever my title is).
While she is excited to get back to the quiet and relaxing life of Cedar Rapids, her love of wacky, out-of-the-box and creative marketing ideas and events still runs deep in her blood. As it was once about the clients like at Dolce & Gabbana for Rx Art, Mayor Daley’s Halloween Gala and ethnic celebrations, and Oprah’s Ultimate Australian Adventure, it is now family celebrations, re-connecting with old friends and watching her son fly a kite in a big backyard that have taken front seat in her new journey.
